Volunteer With Us

If you feel called to make a difference in the lives of poor families in Rwanda consider volunteering with Embrace Rwanda either at home in Canada or on a short term mission trip to Rwanda. Send us a message to request more information on volunteering opportunities.

If you have a particular passion it is likely that your skills and talents can be used in Embrace Rwanda Projects. Most needed volunteers will have expertise in:

  • Pre-natal care
  • Infant and child health 0-5yrs
  • Women’s Health
  • Economic Community Development
  • Media

In addition to the focus on health, it is hoped to extend the Healthy Mums Project to develop more pre schools in the rural communities. Therefore we need volunteers with experience in:

  • Early Childhood Development
  • Teaching English to Pre school teachers

To enable the whole community to flourish, other aspects of community life and development need to be addressed. There are always opportunities for volunteers with technical skills in:

  • Carpentry
  • Electrical wiring
  • Construction
  • Sewing
  • Knitting & crocheting

Volunteers are essential for keeping the organization active in Canada and supporting the work in Rwanda. To achieve this anyone who has following skills can make a huge contribution to the work of Embrace Rwanda:

  • Computer skills for presentations
  • Writing
  • Fund raising
  • Assisting with events
  • Artists
